Good news!

A called last night to let me know that the bid package came out and he’s offically a line holder as of November. Good news for us, but I don’t know what he’s going to do now that he doesn’t have all day to watch inane television shows on VH1 anymore…

I also want to say that I <3 all of my comment posters and blog readers in general. All y’alls! Even you Grant. Especially you Rachel. It’s scary to share when you are having bad days and down times and it makes it easier to post about the ups and downs when I know that there are others out there who are having the same struggles and don’t belittle me for admitting to them. And it’s great to be able to share acheivements. Thank you to everyone for making me feel that I have a voice and outlet worth listening to.

That which doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, right?

Congratulations! And talk about needing a little encouragement, what great timing!! A little boost when you needed it….Chin up girl and keep posting, I love hearing that I’m not the only one struggling and who gets excited by little things like actually holding a line! (By the way, I can beat your dinner the other day: two nights ago I actually let my kids eat pizza and popcorn for DINNER just so they’d ingest some calories without a major battle. I’m the worst mother ever… I’ll try to get a veggie in ‘em tonight, though.)

I appreciate your blog as it is preparing me for the ups and downs as my husband has completed training and is instructing to gain hours to “land” a job… It’s really already begun as his training is two hours away and he stays overnight, only to come home at random times… Guess I should get used to it.

I just found this blog and I feel like I’ve been writing it! I don’t know which airline your DH flies for, but mine flies for UPS. We live in KY but he’s based in CA. We have a daughter. DH just got back from a PAC RIM trip for 16 days. He hasn’t been at UPS a year yet so the salary sucks, as well as commuting and sitting reserve in the crash pad and never getting a trip. He might as well stay home. Keep writing, sister! There are many many more just like you! :)
